Getting There

Goa is very well connected by rail, road, sea and air. Those choosing to come by air would be disembarking at Dabolim airport, which today apart from national carriers landing here, international charter flights too land. The network of roads is commendable as private and government bus operators, ply air condition and non air condition coaches connecting major Indian cities like, Mumbai (594 Km.), Bangalore (562 K.m.), Pune, Chennai and Hydrebad. The only rail link which use to connect Goa to rest of the country years back was through the picturesque route of Vasco, Margao Castle Rock, Dhudhsagar (waterfalls) and Londa on the meter gauge line of the Indian Railway's, but as time has passed this route has been upgraded to a broad gauge line which now has a direct train connecting the Indian capital town of Delhi (1904 K.m.). The Konkan Railway has today established a new rail link passing through Goa, through the town of Margao connecting the north of the country to the south, linking Mumbai, passing through the beautiful country side of the Konkan region of Ratnagiri past Goa to Karwar and beyond past Mangalore to Vizag.
